This is the right half of a pair of colorful Laguna agate. It has red and white banding with a great eye and red microspheres throughout. There is a healed fracture at the bridge between the two agate formations. There is a small open aperture with quartz in the center. They make a nice little pair. Please see TAS091 for the left side. They both have a mirror polish.
This is a Laguna beauty and it's a floater in clear silica with white microspheres throughout the banding in the outer bands and tight white banding toward the center. The center has drusy quartz with black goethite crystal seen. It has a large eye with two red sticks in the center seen under magnification. There are no fractures and it has a mirror polish.
This is an gorgeous Botswana agate. It has amazing parallax all the way around it with an apparent inflow/escape tube and two pink centers which is highly desirable in a Botswana. Under magnification you can see four healed fractures and the edge at the end of the tube is lower than the face and is not polished. The black skin on this makes it look very dramatic. It has a mirror polish.
This is a beautiful Laguna agate from Mexico. It has the classic banding found in Lagunas with deep tight banding in a polycentric formation with eyes and red microspheres throughout and it's a floater. Bands are created in fibrous silica by both positive and negative ions repelling against each other to form these amazing bands seen best under magnification. There are a couple of healed fractures around the edges that do not interfere with the agate formation.
This is a very unique Lava Cap Thunderegg with a double bullseye. It is polycentric with two agate formations along with the two bullseyes and there is a a small well filled with clear silica at the center bottom. This thunderegg is direct form the miner and has an unusual husk or skin compared to other agates.
This is a Lava Cap Thunderegg with psuedomorphs from Deming, New Mexico. This is an excellent thunderegg with psuedomorphs, waterline marks and a drusy pocket. It is fresh out of the ground and direct from the miner. The brownish red around the edges is brighter in the photos and it has an unusual husk or skin on it and it has a beautiful polish.
This is the left side of a pair of an excellent example of Lava Cap Thundereggs. It has the bullseye with a red center, waterline marks with a beautiful blue color. The white agate center is framed with quartz crystals, that grew all around the center before the white silica filled the rest of the cavity and there is a drusy center. See TAS191 for the left half. Great little pair.
This is the right side of a pair of an excellent example of Lava Cap Thundereggs. It has the bullseye with a red center, waterline marks with a beautiful blue color. The white agate center is framed with quartz crystals, some quite large that grew all around the center before the white silica filled the rest of the cavity and there is a drusy center. See TAS191 for the left half. Great little pair.
This is a River Crossing Condor agate which is the left side of a pair. It has the appearance of a candle in the center. The center has a small crystal quartz center with quarts crystal encircling it. The banding has chromatography which means that true to Condors, the colors morph into other colors as they move around the banding. The colors are brown, red, orange, yellow and green, best seen under good light. There are a couple of healed fractures seen under magnification. It has a mirror polish. See the right half TAS252.
